Nicoletta Di Gia
Academic Director
My TEFL career started in Italy in 2002 where I was studying. I taught English to high school students, preparing them for their examinations and eventually at Torino’s Palazzo Nuovo and Polytechnic University and FIAT. After being awarded the Licentiate Trinity Teaching Diploma in Tesol with distinction ( Scotland ),  I went on to become the Academic Director for an international school in Cape Town. Some career highlights include setting up the academic department for the sister school in Florida, U.S.A, achieving the highest internal academic audit results out of 16 schools in 2013 and being part of a team that was awarded 1st Star Status.

English One
is the culmination of my dream to inspire others to reach their full potential. A school where the individual is always centre-point and a place where  I can demand excellence from myself and from my students.
A talented teacher and mentor once told me “Good is ok, but Great is what you want to achieve.” – I teach and work with this in mind!
Ian Coleshaw
Managing Director
Initially, I wanted to be a high school English teacher. So I completed my Post Graduate Certificate in Education at the University of Cape Town in 2001. After university I wanted to use my teaching skills to travel through Asia. I left South Africa and loved teaching English in Asia so much that I ended up living there for five years! When I returned to South Africa I spent a few years teaching English and History in public schools before I returned to English language teaching.
Since 2010, I have enjoyed meeting students from all around the world and helping them to improve their English skills. In Nicoletta, I knew I had found the perfect partner to work with, at a place where students needs are respected and where we could strive for excellence in English language teaching. So it was that English One was born and we are enjoying sharing our vision of English with the rest of the world in our own special way.
